I started this journey to health in January 2011 and had success. I lost 20 pounds by the summer. Unfortunately, I became careless and wound up gaining back 10 pounds. Now in March 2012, more than a year since the beginning of this journey, I intend to follow through with what I started.

Weigh-in Friday: One pound down this week! That officially puts me at 162 pounds.
Now that I’m back in the mindset, I think I’ll set some goals for myself. By the first day of summer, I’ll strive to weigh 150 pounds. That’s 4 pounds a month. I can do this.

Breakfast: Kashi Cereal with milk, yogurt (350)
Lunch: Turkey sandwich with lettuce & hummus, almonds (450)
Snack: banana and a little natural peanut butter (200)
Dinner: Turkey & cheese sandwich with lettuce, half an apple (500)
+25 minute jog.
Today went well (: I didn’t over eat which is usually where things go wrong. Although, now that I’m looking at everything I ate today, I realize I should slip some veggies into my diet. Tomorrow I’ll do some resistance training in addition to my cardio and hopefully I can keep this up. I’m just repeating to myself, “You’ve done this once, you can do it again.” I’ve also decided to weigh myself every Friday morning. So I’ll be posting later this week if there’s any progress!
